Kathleen Nice Dubois

In loving memory of Kathleen Nice Dubois, aged 70, who peacefully passed away on Friday, April 5th, she was raised in the greater Boston area and spent the last 35 years of her life in the Upper Valley area of Vermont.

She attended UMass College in Boston and later graduated from the College of Life Learning in VT, earning a bachelor's degree. Known for her dedication to helping others navigate the challenges of recovery and providing eldercare. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness that will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.

Kathy was a beloved mother to her three surviving daughters, Rene’ Horne, Mary Duquette, and Angelica Dubois. She is also survived by her aunt, Marie Sommovigo, cousin Lisa Sommovigo, and her cherished grandchildren, Cole, Emmett, Wyatt, Zoe, and Weston, along with great-niece Gianna.

She is predeceased by her parents, Constance Montofusco Spatola, William Nice, as well as her sister, Mary Nice, and brother, William Nice.

Kathy’s kindness, generosity, and love for her family and friends were as strong as the influence she had on her community. She made a significant difference in the lives of those around her, both personally and within the recovery community. Her ability to bring joy to those around her, her gift for drawing people together, and her vibrant spirit made her truly one in a million. Her magnetic personality and captivating stories will be dearly missed but forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please join us in honoring Kathleen’s memory and gathering together in celebration of her remarkable life. Sunday, June 2nd: 9:00 AM: Mass (scripture only) at Aquinis Dartmouth College Catholic Church, 12:00 PM: Brunch at the Turning Point Clubhouse in WRJ, VT

The family would like to express gratitude to the ICU staff at DHMC and her closest circle of friends for their compassionate care and support extended to our mother. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
