I vended next to Suzie for many years at the NFM. I always enjoyed her perspective of life and the straight forward manner in which she presented it.

I've known Suzie since 1968, when Graham was recruiting me to study under his mentorship as a graduate student at Dartmouth College, and Suzie invited me to dinner at their comfy home in Norwich. I chose not to attend Dartmouth, but the spell of the area was apparently strong - less than 6 years later I found myself as a colleague of Graham's at the Thayer School of Engineering, with my new bride in tow. Our visits became frequent and always pleasant and stimulating, continuing long after we left Vermont. Ann and I will always remember Suzie fondly, and we send our condolences to Graham, Iain, Tasha, Peter, and Jeremy.

Suzie was a beautiful person - inside and out. We met through Scottish Country Dancing, and our congenial group continued for decades.
Suzie was an inspired cook. From her kitchen came wonderful meals she could whip up with whatever was available. Perhaps lamb, or apple pie, and always bread or rolls. When Alv and I married, she filled an enormous basket with fresh rolls for our wedding dinner.
I think of her when I move one of her curly brown sheep skins from its summer home on a brown leather chair to its winter home on a cold car seat.
Graham, you and Suzie were a great team. She will be missed by all who knew her.
