My memories of both Bob and Ellie are many. They both gave so much to helping others especially through Lions. It was a privilege to have known them. Hope your memories get you through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Ellie's passing.
I have many happy memories of being a guest in the Huke home during my childhood, my Dartmouth undergrad years (when I was a student of Bob's for a few geography courses), and later as a graduate student at Thayer School. My recollections of evenings on Paaaatridge Hill (after my having grown up in the south, Bob's tendency not to pronounce the "R" in "Partridge" was quite noticeable to me) include spending time with two people who were living very much in the moment but who had also obviously amassed by then decades of happy memories. And I recall the banter and gentle teasing between them, as they both laughed at some of the more comical moments of their lives.
Somewhere in the heavens I'm sure Bob has for some years been recounting the tales of all the things that can go wrong on a honeymoon. Now he has Ellie with him to offer that much-needed counterpoint since her side of any story was always equally amusing.
Such a shame that she's no longer here with us now, but such a tremendous gift to have had her here when she was.
Thanks to their family for sharing them both with all of us, and condolences on their loss.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Ellie. I was fortunate enough to have done some work for Bob and Ellie. They were the nicest people you could ever have known. RIP
