So sorry to learn of this passing. Mrs. Sargent was a bright light in my childhood and I was blessed to know her as Jane in her later years, too. How wonderful that she got to see her 100th birthday last summer! My condolences to all her family.

We are saddened to learn about Jane's death, but what a long life well lived. Jane and Dave were childhood friends of my fathers in Hastings, and Jane's parents were also very close friends with my grandparents. After my parents retired to Hanover they saw Jane and Dave often and after both were widowed, Jane remained an extremely loyal friend to my mother, visiting her at least weekly after my mother could no longer drive. She was a lovely, gracious woman.
