Bette Hubers Stewart, died January 12, 2010 at Alice Peck Day Extended Care Facility in Lebanon, NH. Previously a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and Glendale, California, Bette came to the facility in 2005 to be near her family, Jonna and Carroll Mackin of Etna, NH. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including the Briglin Family of Thetford Center, Vermont. Mrs. Stewart will be laid to rest in the spring in Orange City, Iowa, next to her husband Lt. Col John Hubers who was killed in World War II. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be given to the Primary Mental Health Clinic (PMHC) at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction or to Alice Peck Day Hospital.
