To Carletta, Kim and Jan,
Gary (Dad) was such a wonderful blessing to all of us. I am going to remember him just the way he was on Christmas day. Joyful. Peaceful. Loving. I will not forget that it was Gary that brought the first excitement and glee to our Yankee Swap when we it was his turn to choose a gift. After quietly waiting his turn, it was Gary that was the first to get up out of his chair causing all of us to gasp with excitement and playfully hold tight to our gifts. It was Gary, that made us giggle as he slowly circled the room and inspected each gift with a playful tease in his eye. It was Gary's impeccable comic timing that made the room come alive with laughter. Gary knew it was not about the gift you ended up with, but the joy and love you felt along the way. You can't wrap or open that gift, you just have to have a Gary in your life to receive it.
Love,
Cindy Larsen (Groton, MA)

Miss you and Love you Gramps. I know you know that. Thank you for everyting you gave in life and to your friends & family. You will continue to be loved and your life will be celebrated by all of us in so many ways. May you rest in Love and Peace. Amen

Dear Carletta, Kim, Jan, Brice, Scott and Laura,
As Cindy shared her memories of this past Christmas Day spent with the Nevers and Craven families, I was touched by Gary's expression of love - not only for his immediate family - but for all those who came even briefly within his circle of experience, like Mike and I did. During our encounters when Gary visited Black Point, his loving, gentle nature was completely obvious. His genuine interest in and concern for others is something we may all treasure and strive to emulate in our own lives. He sought out the goodness in everyone and cherished those experiences, thus setting the example for all of us. This divine sense of love and joy that Gary so clearly embodied, can never pass away. God's view of his creation is much higher than our own, often limited human sense of things, and we may be comforted to know that God continues to love Gary and that Gary continues to love his family as dearly as ever. Our love and prayers are with you.
Karen and Mike Hyland (Prospect, CT)

Your father will always watch over you with the Love of our Spiritual Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I can only share with you that I have visited the door of passing on several times and there is oly the greatest peace I have ever experienced. Here I am again facing the "Door" and I feel only gratitude and love that we still have a mission to be there at the "Door" to greet our friends and family when it is our time. I have stumbled upon this page and I too have known Gary Nevers. Because of his connection to the Crattys of Pattern, I always felt a family bond. Although it has been many years since I saw Gary in my office, I can say he was always welcome and I always enjoyed his visits. I offer my sincere condolences for his passing.
