Franklin S. MacCombie, 95, died February 11, 2010 at the Outreach House in Hanover, NH.

He was born September 17, 1914 in Stoughton, MA the tenth child of William A. and Florence A. (Seagrave) MacCombie. He was raised in Stoughton and graduated from Brown University. He worked in a managerial position for Brown & Sharpe in Providence, RI and East Greenwich, RI. Following his career there, he continued to work in management consulting in his own business, travelling to Paris and throughout the USA.

For many years he was very active in the First Christian Congregational Church in Swansea, MA until he transferred his membership to the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, five years ago when he moved North five years ago.

He was an avid gardener and excellent musician.

He was predeceased by his first wife; Florence (Corbishley) and his second wife, Helen K. (Gallogly).

He is survived by his sister, Mary Churchill who resides in Palmdale, CA, six children, Florence Ingersoll of West Lebanon, NH, Marilyn D'Antonino of E. Providence, RI, Bruce MacCombie of Amherst, MA, Helen Chace of Albuquerque, NM, Barbara Enos of Madbury, NH and Patricia Patesel of N. Kingstown, RI; also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February, 27, 2010 at 1:30 PM in the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. A reception will follow in the church. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton, MA at a later date.
