Joan Hill Kellogg died peacefully at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center on Friday, July 16, 2010. She was born December 20, 1930 in Portland, Maine and grew up in Fryeburg, Maine. She graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1948 and met Douglas E. Kellogg in Katonah, New York. They were married in 1951 in Fryeburg, and lived in Connecticut in Southbury, Woodbury and Newtown. They retired to Hanover, NH in 1987. Three years ago, they moved to Quail Hollow in West Lebanon, NH. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas and children: Linda K. Glover of Morgan Hill, California, Randolph Kellogg of Washington, NH and Diane Forester of Jamaica, Vermont. She was preceded in death by daughter Lisa Kellogg of Colorado. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Katie, Andrew, Oscar and Finley. Joan was a member of VNA, TPA, AFS and FISH while living in Newtown, CT. She was a Sunday school teacher at Newtown Congregational Church and member of the Bell Choir. She graduated from Columbia University in 1986 with a BA in Anthropology. She enjoyed reading, ladies card game group, traveling and tennis. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Rand-Wilson Funeral Home on School Street in Hanover, NH at 2:00 PM.
