Marie-Louise Fredyma

Marie-Louise Fredyma of Hanover, NH passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 after a short illness.

Mrs. Fredyma was born on July 24, 1926, the daughter of Louise (Fromm) Friedman and Alexander Friedman, in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from the City College of New York with a degree in English. She had joined her mother in the antique business while in high school and remained active in business until her death, a career of almost 70 years. She was nationally recognized for her knowledge of American art glass and American coin and sterling silverware. She initially resided in Hartford, VT with her husband and children, beginning in 1949, moving to Hanover, NH in 1957 where she resided for her lifetime. She joined her husband in apartment rentals and real estate development for a number of years.

Mrs. Fredyma is survived by her husband of more than sixty years, Paul J. Fredyma of Hanover; her son James and his wife Judith of Contoocook, NH; her daughter Jane Raymond of New Port Richey, FL; her son John and his wife Diana of Cape Coral, FL; and her son Jack and his wife Julia of Dover, NH. Grandchildren include Christian A. Nardi of New Orleans, LA, Jessica Fredyma of Concord, NH, Molly Fredyma Lewis of Pinedale, WY, Lindy Fredyma of Cape Coral, FL, Lori Fredyma of Cape Coral, FL, Christina Raymond of New Port Richey, FL, Tracey Wynn of New Port Richey, FL, Timothy Raymond of Chesapeake, VA, and Christopher Raymond of Tampa, FL. Three great grandchildren include Emma Fredyma of Concord, NH, Jaydon Lewis of Pinedale WY and Ashley Raymond of New Port Richey, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Paul F. Friedman.

No calling hours will be scheduled. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations in Marie-Louise's memory may be made to the charity of your choice, or the Upper Valley Humane Society, 15 Old Route 10, Enfield, NH 03748.
