Elizabeth M. Flavin of Hanover, NH previously of cooperstown, NY and Cambridge, MA died June 11, 2010 at the age of 84. She Grew up in Cooperstown,NY and graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Art History.

Lib worked as a secretary and research assistant to Prof. Robert Wolfe at Harvard University while raising her two children. During this time she and her children spent many days in Madison, NH, skiing at King Pine Ski area and enjoying the house she built there.

In 1974 she returned to Cooperstown to go to graduate school in art conservation and restoration. After she graduated she remained in Cooperstown, set up her own practice and took care of her parents.

While in Cooperstown Lib became very involed with the Glimmerglass Opera. Volunteering many hours and days in the office, costumes and set building. It became her passion. In 1999 she moved to Kendal at Hanover,NH.

She is survived by her sister Marian Prochnik and her husband Martin of Fairfax, VA, he son J.Thomas Flavin of Conway, NH, her daughter Molly Flavin of Madison,GA and three grand children Sarah, Peter, and Meghan.

Burial services will be private.Date and location for her memorial service will be announced.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Wilson Funeral Home of Hanover, NH.
